Product profile

Bogmating compensating capacitor is made of cylindrical aluminum alloy shell with small volume and metal coated polypropylene dielectric and padded with dry flame retardant mineral with low loss, low heat productivity, working temperature range of -40℃~70℃, failure rate of less than 200PPM, long service life, great overload capacity, voltage overload capacity of 1.1 times the rated voltage, continuous operation for 8h/day, continuous overcurrent capacity of 2.2In (In is rated current of capacitor) and anti-surge peak current capacity of up to 300In.

 

It is self-heating and internally installed with an overload isolation device for reliable tensile protection to separate from the grid, so as to effectively eliminate the capacitor explosion accident; the internal discharge resistance can ensure voltage fall to within 50V within 1min in the capacitor.

Structure features

  Insulator

Inside the capacitor provided by Bogmating is a low-loss insulator formed by pure PP film. The self-healing compound of zinc and aluminum is directly metalized at the side of PP film under vacuum. The PP film is rolled to a stable cylindrical coil in the automation equipment. The top of the capacitor coil is sprayed with the metal contact layer to transmit high current load and ensure connection between the terminal and the coil at a low inductance.

When high surge or root-mean-square current passes through the capacitor, a very high stress will appear at the connection between the PP film and the zinc contact layer, so it is very necessary to improve the capacitor service life and reliability through special treatment technology. A corrugated cutting method is taken to cut off the film and increase the contact surface between the zinc layer and the film, so as to reduce the strain.

  Solvent

To prevent the capacitor electrode from disturbance of oxygen, humidity and other environmental factors, it is necessary to use solvent or packing material in the capacitor; otherwise, the metal coating will be corroded, the magnitude of partial discharge will be increased and the capacitor will lose more and more capacitance, reducing the service life.

The dry insulating gases (main component N2) protect the coil from the environmental impact, prolong its expected life and obtain stable capacitance. The gas flux used reduces the capacitor weight. Compared with the resin or oil packed capacitor, the average weight is decreased by 15%-20%, so that it is more simple to transport and handle the unit.
